In many communities, needs are often hidden from view. There are hundreds of voluntary and community groups delivering social welfare services to the residents of North East Essex.

Since the Trust was established in 1989, we have raised over £600,000 and helped over 400 community and voluntary organisations based in Colchester and Tendring.

We hold two grant rounds per year in the Trust's general grant programme. The closing date for applications is 30th April and 31st October annually.

The Trust does not provide large grants because our aim is to help as many organisations as possible. Priority is given to smaller less well-known groups who may not otherwise find the funds they need. Average grants are between £300-£500.
